Text provided by the Photographic Resource Center at the time of the touring exhibition "New Works by Ten Massachusetts Photographers" in 1982: Roswell Angier is a social documentary photographer whose street photographs taken from a vantage point inside his car deal with issues of alienation in an urban environment. He is on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts Boston and The Art Institute of Boston. Angier was a recipient of a Massachusetts Artists Fellowship from the Artists Foundation Incorporated, and is a photographer for the photographic survey, the "Outer Boston Project." He is a Contributing Photographer to Archive Pictures Incorporated, New York.
