Label Text:
Leonardo facilitated the setting of columns on their bases with this device. A crated column is attached to two long side screws. One man rotates the side handle slowly raising the column. At the proper elevation the column is allowed to swing from the horizontal to vertical position and is lowered on its base. The Hoisting Device is then partially disassembled and moved to the next column site. - Dr. Roberto A. Guatelli
