Description:
The inside, as well as outside, of this small carved argillite dish or platter is decorated with floral designs resembling rosettes, chrysanthemums, and leaves. The plate contains a few small holes in the interior's center and reverse's flowers where inlaid ivory, bone, or abalone likely was originally set. Inlay was a common feature of floral Haida platters, though this item has since lost its decoration. AP2018
