Description:
A hunting spear from the north of India. Head long, thin, and narrow, with a central heavy ridge, long tapering point, and 3 5/8" socket. Sharpened on both edges with double bevel. Long, thin, round shaft of a dark, hard, slightly twisted wood, and bound at two places at the end with spirally wound 3/8" flat brass tape.
Presented by Mr. Lansing Hammond, who received them from the Prof. Boltwood collection.
