SKINNER CATALOGUE:
A hunting spear from the north of India. Head long, thin, and narrow, with three heavy ridges, long tapering point, scalloped in the middle and then tapering to the 3 1/2" socket. Sharpened on both edges with double bevel. Long, thin, round shafts of a dark, hard, smooth wood.
Presented by Mr. Lansing Hammond, who received them from the Prof. Boltwood collection. Weights: 10 ozs. Head: 18 7/8" x 1 11/16" Shafts: 55 5/8" x 15/32". Cat. 10/3/1935.
