SKINNER CATALOGUE:
A very fine native hunting spear from Northern Rhodesia, South Africa. The flat head, hammered out at the end of a 3/8" diam. hand forged rod, in the usual shape, tapering to a blunt point, and now having a 3" irregular longitudinal crack. The rod shaft is driven into a wooden handle, resembling our hickory, the head end of which is bound with flat laced fine iron wire. The handle has been cut short to an 18 3/4" length.
