Description:
Vertical chuban size, nishiki-e, bedtime stories: a courtesan in bed with her nighttime reading, Ehon yachiyo gusa (A Pictures Book of Ageless Grasses). A maid servant in the adjoining room cleans her pipe. In the cloud is a poem by Kakinomoto Hitomaro.
