Description:
Bronze statuette of a cat, seated, with front paws together and head facing forward. Mostly black in color with some green erosion in spots, especially near the bottom of the object. Fine features, such as eyes, hair on neck and chest, and jowls; incised. Leans very slightly to the right when viewed head-on. Cats were sacred animals to the Egyptian goddess Bastet.
