Description:
ca. early 20th century plaster cast of a marble original dating to the Classical Period, ca. 350 BCE. This cast is of a fragment of the chariot frieze on the Mausoleum of Halicarnassos, located near modern Bodrum, Turkey. In this fragment a chariot driver is depicted with his long robes billowing out behind him.
