This figure of Athena, dedicated by the inhabitants of Lemnos, stood on the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. The cast itself is made from a composite mold based upon a Roman copy of the Pheidian head, located at the Museo Civico Bologna in Bologna, Italy, and a Roman copy of the Pheidian body, located at the Albertinum in Dresden, Germany. Both partial Roman sculptures are copies of the original Greek bronze.
