Description:
Bag embroidered with silk and metallic thread on a gold silk ground, which is dated "1722." The bag is decorated on both sides with flowers, piece of fruit, and floral borders, and the date on one side over a large upside-down heart shape worked in silk and metallic threads, and a large monogram worked in metallic threads on the other side. The bag is lined in blue silk taffeta. While similar in size to sweet bags, this example is not one.
