Description: Silver caster or muffineer with an elaborately-pierced, tall domed cover topped with an acorn finial, blubous body, and molded foot marked "KE" in a shaped punch and a Britannia date letter, which is attributed to Thomas Kedden. Several makers were using "KE" marks in London around 1710. Kedden entered his mark as smallworker in 1700. This caster was once a part of a set of three, used to serve condiments like dry mustard, sugar, and pepper.
