Description: Small grey salt-glazed stoneware teapot and a cover that has a finial in a pyramid shape on top of a flattened ball finial, over a band of leaf tops(/), over radiating incised lines extending a a cable band around the rim edge. According to the London dealer and ceramics expert Jonathan Horne (1/23/95), this teapot is of Continental European origin. The pot has incised bands around the neck, over machine rouletting around the top and lower halves with a plain mid-band with mold-applied birds; and a short shaped spout with three incised lines around the rim; and a C-shaped strap handle.
