English pearlware plate with chinoiserie decoration in blue in a pattern that was produced by a number of Staffordshire and Yorkshire potteries. The blue, wavy-edged rim is decorated with three sets of two molded leaves edged in blue; the curvature is encircled with a trellis pattern; and the well has a landscape scene with a pagoda, fence, a man holding a parasol and pointing his finger upward, and birds flying overhead.
