Description: Silver porringer (unmarked) with a raised circular bowl with bulging sides and an everted rim, and an applied handle pierced with geometric shapes, which is inscribed "C. V. B. J. / Oct. 11th, 06" in script on one side and "A. F. P./ Feb. 26, 1852" in script on the other side. This handle shape was used by several Massachusetts silversmiths including Paul Revere, William Swan, Thomas Townsend, Moody Russell, Samuel Edwards,Jacob Hurd, Benjamin Burt, etc. although it was also used in other areas such as Philadlephia .
