Description: Woman's brooch featuring an elaborate design on a white ground of three Prince of Wales feathers or plumes made of brown human hair, there a two sheaves of wheat in gold-colored wire or filigree between the plumes and there is a suggestion of a gold wire bow at the base of the hair design, the hair is placed under lead glass which is beveled at the edge, the reverse side has a woven piece of hair which resembles a textile, the gold-colored surround is made from stamped metal and is a combination of elaborate scrolls there is a small ring at the top to hang the brooch from a necklace as well as a pin on the reverse for fastening onto clothing, Condition: the back side glass of the brooch has been cracked from side to side, and a small piece of glass is missing.
