Description: Tilt-top or tip-top tea table with a round top with molded edges, turned pedestal, and tripod base terminating in snake feet, which came from the donor's grandmother's distant cousin Carrie Lamb Ward and has a Childs family history. Carrie Lamb Ward was the granddaughter of Zebina Stebbins (1797-1879) and Ruby Graves Stebbins (1796-1877) of Deerfield, and the daughter of Zebina and Ruby's 10th child, Laura Stebbins (b. 1837) who married Thomas M. Lamb (1830-1881) of Worcester in 1860. The legs and underside of the top are cherry, the bottom of the post is birch, and the top block on top of the post is sugar, or hard, maple.
