Description:
Woman's black hat, made up of a soft skull cap with rows of small braid. Side or back decoration consists of a faceted black metal oval disk and two sprays of feathers. Worn by Nathalie Clare (mother of donor, Mrs. Cathleen Esleeck). A label inside the cap reads "A New York Creation," indicating its place of manufacture, in New York City's garment district.
