Description:
English Worcester porcelain (bone china) teacup, part of 40-piece teaset, decorated with an underglaze dark blue band and gilt thistle on a white ground. The deep teacup has an undulating rim; sides with wide spiral flutes and a gilt thistle on the center side; and a thick band of underglaze blue flanked by gilt lines and overlaid with a stylised foliate chain in gold around the interior rim.
