Description:
This stained glass pane features the coat of arms of Schmid and Hirtz. In the center, a black turret is depicted inside a patterned gold shield. Black and gold mantling surrounds this and the silver helmet which sits above, wearing a gold necklace and crown. A golden lion is rampant above, against an off-white background, all framed by red columns supporting a decorative arch. A gold face with a blue headpiece sits in its center, against a blue background. To the right, a golden-haired figure draped in blue stands on a stage holding a falcon. Justice, similarly dressed, stands on the left with a winged cherub, wielding scales and a sword. Two gold-framed faces are depicted above each. In a frieze above, knights on horses interact with elegantly dressed men on foot, between blue columns with gold berries. Below the central scene, Putti holding heraldic shields flank an inscription banner. (Tomasz Andrzej Grzybowski)
