Foundry Mark: Clementi Fondeur

Label Text:
Colonne plays with the concept of dimensional expansion by creating the impression of fragmented space with its colorful, irregular, and angular sides. Prinner was the twelfth artist to sign the Dimensionist Manifesto. Charles Sirató had met him by chance in Paris and, after visiting his studio, recalled, “To my greatest surprise I discovered among his works some wire constructions that left the two-dimensional plane; I immediately recognized their Dimensionist tendency. Besides the great names I needed new artists to form the 25-member core group, so I wasted no time and called upon him to sign the Manifesto; he happily granted my request.”
