Label Text:
This print is signed at upper middle-right "Hiroshige ga" ('drawn by Hiroshige'). The publisher's seal and the kiwame seal of the censors are both visible in red within the left margin. However, owing to condition, they are unclear and this attribution has been made using publication records and comparisons with other impressions. The series title is printed vertically descending in the red cartouche at upper-right, while this location and the title of the print are identified in the text inscribed in the sky, above the artist's signature.

This series is known colloquially as the "Kyōka Iri Tōkaidō" ("Tōkaidō with Satirical Poems") due to the inclusion of the text at upper-left, which describes the spring wind felt across the bridge.
