Label Text:
Signed "Eizan hitsu" ('drawn by Eizan') vertically descending at lower-right. Beneath the signature is the circular 'kiwame,' or censor's seal; below that is the seal of the publisher Maruya Jinpachi, whose shop was known as Enjudō until 1833. This print celebrates the fifth lunar month, during which the Boy's Festival, one of the Five Seasonal Festivals, is held. Here, the woman appears to be changing robes following the rainstorm mentioned in the poem written within the circular lunar scene, immediately to the left of the print series title, which is in the yellow cartouche.
