Description:
Long wooden shop sign with molded wood framing along the edge painted black, sign is inscribed in black paint on a grayish white ground: "P.F. COOLEY." Pindar Field Cooley (b.1827) was born in Hawley, Massachusetts, but spent most of his life in the western Massachusetts town of Pittsfield. It is believed the sign is from his time working in Pittsfield.
