Description:
These three cast pewter spoons with prominent mid rib bands and rat tail bowls were cast from period, original molds, but do not have the wear one would associate with mid-18th century pewter spoons. The tip of each bowl shows little wear or damage. These spoons were cast from a mid-18th century Hanoverian style rounded end spoon mold. One example 2014.19.63.1 has initials "H m" cast into the back of the handle.
