Description:
Tablespoon with a downturned rounded-end handle and elliptical bowl with a double-molded drop, which is marked "PB / AB / WB" in rectangle for Peter Bateman (1740-1825), Ann Bateman (1748-before 1813), and William Bateman (1774-1850), and the hallmarks of a leopard's head crowned, lion passant, duty mark, and the date letter "I" for 1804-1805. Peter Bateman, his sister-in-law, Ann Bateman, and Ann's son William Bateman were in partnership from 1800-1815.
