Description:
Silver tablespoon with an elliptical bowl and a rounded drop over a fine 8-lobed webbed-shell; thick, straight hemispherical shaft tapered to wide upturned rounded-end handle; and short midrib on front of handle. The spoon is marked "S.P" in oval at right angles to shaft near bowl for Samuel Parmelee (1737-1807), and engraved with the initials "LL" in block letters on the back of the tip of the handle.
