Description:
One of two pewter candlesticks (similar but unmatched) with each stamped "NBL" on the underside rim. One also has initials on the underside rim, one of which seems to be a "T". The candlesticks have a molded band around the rim; over a straight candle socket with two incised bands; a band of gadrooning over a molded knop, one flatter on one candlestick than the other; baluster stem; a band of gadrooning over a molded knop, one flatter on one candlestick than the other; recessed center surrounded by a curb for catching wax drips; and octagonal base. This was a popular form that was made in silver, brass, pewter, and paktong.
