Description:
Fragment of ceramic dish with uneven broken edges. Design painted on fragment in iridescent brown-gold pigment over crackled white glaze. Some designs have worn off, revealing buff-colored clay base beneath. Fragment features five busts and heads of human figures, one of whom is worn away so only an eyebrow, nose, and chin are visible. Round, white faces, chubby cheeks, elongated eyes. Figures wear clothing decorated with spiral patterns, and have white oval shape surrounding their heads.
