Description:
Woman's two piece wedding dress of cream silk, with basque bodice and bustled skirt with train. The bodice is possibly of cream silk chiffon over a silk twill. There is lace trim around the wide, low neckline and cuffs of each sleeve. There are also matching satin "one loop" bows with glass beads on the bodice. The bodice fastens center front with twelve mother-of-pearl buttons. There are dropped shoulder seams, a center back seam and two curved back side seams, one on each side. The basque part of bodice in back has four button-like lead weights underneath. The skirt front has alternating columns of lace and satin ribbon bows. Cream silk chiffon is draped on the back half of the skirt, and helps to form the train. Inside, the skirt has three pairs of tapes to help draw and maintain a bustle in the lower back of skirt. A dust ruffle exists on bottom of train, 10.0" wide. A dust ruffle for the rest of skirt is 5 1/4" wide. Skirt and train lined with cotton dimity.
