Description:
Cream silk two piece wedding dress. Full skirt falling into train. Flat, gored pieces to center back opening where skirt is gauged (gathered) for 2 1/2" each side of opening. Skirt lined with cotton. Has an additional 12" deep stiffening around hem and two rows of stiffened lace for dust ruffle. Skirt has 1 1/2" facing of cream velvet. Material is a ribbed silk with alternating rows of "jacquared" type flowering vines. Ribbed rows 3/8" wide, flowered rows 1/2" wide. Bodice has side closing (underarms) over center front opening. Slight "V" shape to front. Bodice boned front and back. High standing collar, full upper sleeves, narrow lower sleeve. Front neck has 8" ruffle of blond lace attached at should and cascades down front "V" shape. Same blond lace at ends of sleeve.
