Description: Pair of porcelain candlesticks, man and woman dressed in exotic, possibly Chinese-style robes; the woman figure is standing on a scroll plinth base decorated in gilt scrolls and floral motifs, she is dressed with long robes of many colors - apricot, pink, green, gold, and blue; she holds a fan in her hand which is broken off; she has a necklace of gold beads and a crown in green enamel, on her head is a bobeche or candle cup striped in gold and blue with a downturned, scalloped edge, a modern paper label on the base reads "15F"; the man stands on a scrolled plinth base decorated in gilt scrolls and floral motifs, he is dressed in long robes of many colors including green, gold, pink, light blue, apriocot; he has his hands clasped together under his chest, he has a long mustache, and a green hat - and appears to be dressed like a Chinese mandarin, on his head is a blue and gold striped candlecup or bobeche with a downturned, scalloped edge. On the base of the male figure, there is a modern paper label "15-F" and an overglaze ink or possibly enamel mark, "a/m" and "6887", Both figures are supported in the back by tree trunks. Man figure: the candlecup is loose and at one time was adhered with a dried epoxy and plaster. Presumed to be part of the collections of Frary House.
