Description:
One of a set of eight postcards bound with two metal staples and a paper cover inscirbed, "E. Jeffery N.H. Dec. 21 1906 / T Cousin Lucretia / The olden greeting once again - / "A very happy Christmas." / "Swet memories of the past / a merry present / And all bright promise / of a future pheasant." / N.P.S.P." This card was on top and mailed by "N.P.S. Phelps / Jaffrey [New Hampshire]" with a Jaffery postmark dated, "Dec / 22 / 3PM / 1906" and originally addressed to "Mrs. E.L.S. Mower / Gill / Massachusetts," and forwarded by the Turners Falls, Massachusetts, Post Office on "Dec / 24 / 3PM / 1906" to 142 York St, New Haven, Connecticut. This postcard has a photograph on the front titled "HALF-WAY HOUSE MONADNOCK MOUNTAIN," and "Picturesque Letter / E. Jaffrey, N. H." and "Published by / Robert A. Dennison / E. Jeffery, N.H." on the reverse.
