Label Text:
SKINNER CATALOGUE: An old pine chopping bowl, showing clearly the marks of having been shaped and gouged out by hand. Also shows the marks of the chopping knife.
Rectangular in shape, with the corners somewhat rounded and the ends left straight for handles. Made and used in Russia in the early nineteenth century and brought to this country by immigrants.
Nests with MH SK B.11.A.45.4.
