Description:
Man's (or woman's?) straw boater with 2" black gross-grain ribbon band. Leather band inside (1.75") markings: "I.N.E." (owner's initials) and "COMFIT RESGISTERED U.S.PAT.OFF." Paper labels underneath leather band: (outside) "RAZOR Reg.U.S.Pat.Off. Raise leather for Instructions. Pat.No. 1702427 Pat.No. 1992285" (inside) "To adjust headsize open metal clip under rear of leather and eithr tighten or loosen clip on tapes according to whether a smaller or larger size is desired." and small label "KNOX 7" White silk satin lining under top of crown, gold printed Knox label. Crown is 2.75" tall. Brim is 2.5" deep, 0.5", 5 rows of smaller braid at base of crown; serrated edge.
