Description:
Chippendale armchair in mahogany with an upholstered seat in gold damask (previously rose damask) attached with brass tacks. There are delicate carvings on the crest rail, molded ears, and in the center of the openwork back splat. The chair has straight Marlborough legs in front with carved brackets on each side of the legs, and fluting down the sides and gadrooning on the front corners. The compressed stretchers and back legs are plain.
