Description:
Tea cup and saucer of soft-paste porcelain painted with underglaze cobalt blue, overglaze polychrome enamels and gilded in imitation of Chinese famille rose porcelain. Painted with a group of peonies and bamboos with rockwork and a fence in blue, red, pink, green and gold. The narrow formal border on the rim is of blue fish roe and red scrolls. This decoration is known to collectors as "Redgrave, blue bomb pattern" Condition: Small chips on rims of both saucer and cup.
