Description:
Woman's one piece high-waisted dress of cream satin with cap sleeves. The low neckline gathers on a string which ties in front. The high waistline also gathers on a string, which fastens in back. The dress has center back closure, fastened only by ties at the back of neckline and the waistline. The back of the skirt is pleated into waistline; the front is smooth. All fitting is adjusted by the gathering ties at the neck edges and waist. The gown also has a slip or chemise to be worn underneath which has straps and is sleeveless. Both items are handsewn.
