Description:
Linen chemise, probably worn by a woman, with geometrically shaped construction elements common to both men's shirts and women's chemises. The long, full sleeves gathered into the armscyes and cuffs resemble men's shirts, while the absence of a collar and side gores suggest a woman's chemise. The garment was put on over the head and secured with a center back placket, fastened with a bone button. The shoulders are reinforced with linen. each cuff also fastens with a single bone button.
