Description:
English pearlware teacup (with saucer, 2004.16.6, stamped "DAWSON") that were made at the South Hylton & Ford Potteries run by John Dawson, (c. 1799-1864.). The teacup is decorated with a copper luster rim over two buildings, one broad and tall and the other with a steeply pitched roof, surrounded by foliage in pink and copper lusterware. The cup has an applied footed base.
