Description:
Oval shaped tray with inlay technique. Interior center has a black background with a small green and orange vase incised with Mexican national emblem (eagle, serpent, and nepal cactus) and filled with large yellow and rose blossoms and smaller blue, rose, and yellow ones. Butterflies in background relate to migration of monarchs to Pátzcuaro region. Sides have a green background with small rose and white flowers and green vines. Brownish-red lacquer on rim and bottom
