Description:
Pair of women's black slippers featuring matching rosettes at each throat opening, a squared toe shape, and original ribbon ties for the ankles. White kid leather lines the quarters, and also makes up the sock lining. An ink inscription on the sock lining of each shoe may read "Mrs. Corry/ Boston". These slippers descended in the Rotch family of New Bedford, Massachusetts, area. They may have been made in Boston, or the North or South shore areas of Massachusetts.
