Description:
A shoemaker's hammer in steel, with solid claw, the pounding surface marked with concentric rows of fine depressions. Small hickory handle. Head marked with a name, a large figure 2 and two dates, the latter July 2, 1872. Owned by Leander Fales Leland and used by him in making hand made shoes about 1870. Head: 3.125" x 1.46875". Presented by Dr. F.S. Leland.
