Description:
A pair of cobbler's lasts in maple, complete with wedges, much stained with red, as though a leather with fugitive dye might have been used. Iron plates nailed to both soles at the heels. Intended for pointed toe men's shoes. Impressed "9 5 1611". Marked in ink, "A.C. Stoddard, North Brookfield, Mass." The collector who owned them before they came to this museum.
