Description:
Child's dark red leather shoes with brown soles, lined with cotton. Four red painted metal buttons close the scalloped closure. One seam runs over the shoe to the instep and outer edge. Another seam runs down the center of each boot halfway, while the last runs up the back of each shoe.

A good condition surviving example of late 19th and early 20th century children's attire. The color helps illustrate the color palattes in fashion of the time period.
