Label Text:
Pittsburgh artist Jane Haskell is known for her site-specific multi-media installations. She uses photographs, sculptural constructions, and light - either neon, fiber optics, or fluorescent - to create a metaphysical experience. Her earlier work includes a group of paintings and watercolors that employ the alphabet. White Alphabet II is from the Alphabet Series that Haskell produced between 1977 and 1980.
