Description:
Finely carved with downcast eyes and introspective gaze seated in padmasana on a high, waisted, double lotus base of rounded triangular section, his hands in dhyana and bhumisparsa mudra "calling the earth to witness", his hair arranged in tightly coiled curls and set with a stupa-form usnisa, all under rich gilding worn away in areas to show the black lacquer undercoat, a red lacquer element on the reverse.
