Description:
Framed 1924 Bachrach photograph copy of a circa 1859 photograph of Annie Child Stebbins (b.1855) and her twin sister, Fannie Lee Stebbins (1855-1890), inscribed "Bachrach/ - reproduce/ 24", in a painted wooden frame with a brass ring for hanging. Annie and Fannie were the daughters of John Bliss Stebbins (1817-1891), the son of John and Hannah Bliss Stebbins, and Maria Stebbins (1818-1891), the daughter of Festus Stebbins of Springfield, Mass. This family shared common ancestors with Asa Stebbins (1767-1844) of Deerfield: Festus Stebbins descended from Thomas Stebbins (1620-1683), one of two sons of the original settler in this area, Roland Stebbins (1594-1671), and Asa Stebbins was descended from the other son, John (b.1626). HD has two silver cups (HD 50.157A and 50.157B) inscribed to each girl on occasion of their birth by their grandmother and dated 1855.
