Description:
Woman's black silk velvet bodice. Back fasterning with 9 hooks (proper left) and eye closures. In good condition, the sleeves may have been shortened, and center front boning inside the bodice has been removed. The bodice, when new, would have been made with a matching skirt, which did not survive upon the bodice's accession into the museum's collection in the late 1940s.
