Description:
Woman's straw bonnet with wide light brown ribbon trim, pink cloth roses and rose buds, small green feathers, and white tulle and loose lace trim inside brim. Body of hat is constructed of straw lace-alternating flat plaits and braided woven loops (spiral for back of crown, 7 bands for brim). Brim lined with pale yellow silk. Bunches of pink flowers tacked to inside of brim, at cheek level. Clear glass beads on flower stems and feather "ferns" look like dew drops. Bavolet of brown silk 3.25" lined with white tulle. Large bow of same silk on top of crown.
